Training Evening – May 2018

Twelve qualified and trainee watchkeepers joined the second of a series of training events held last night in Yarmouth.

There were a number of plotting and chart exercises followed by some scenario training with practice using the radio.

It was an opportunity for all of those present to hone their skills and to work as a team with fellow watchkeepers.

The activities provoked discussion on best practices and the overall response from those attending has been positive.

It is intended that every watch keeper will attend one of these sessions, so more evenings are planned.
